The Blossom Kite Festival

Hundreds of kites in every color, shape and size soared around the Washington Monument to welcome Spring in this years Annual Blossom Kite Festival. Kite fliers of all ages from across the United States and the world gather to fly handmade kites and compete for prizes during this colorful event. Although the weather didn’t make for a great cherry blossom bloom this year, the strong cool winds made it a perfect day for kite flying.
